Hey everyone -
A few weeks back I put out word that I wanted to come put on stand up shows in peoples’ houses. I thought it would be a fun way to get out there and try out new material. I figured maybe some people would be into it.
We got over 200 requests for house shows. I was both flattered and also logistically overwhelmed.
We are going to do seven of these in November. If they go well, I’d love to do more. It’s cool to see people excited to host these and comics excited to do these. So to the other 193 people who offered their homes - THANK YOU and I hope someday me and my pals can visit ALL of your homes. As long as these seven aren’t total disasters hopefully we will!
We’ll be doing:
11/4 in PHILADELPHIA, PA
11/6 in NEW BRUNSWICK, NJ
11/10 in DOUGLASTON, NY
11/11 in NEW HAVEN, CT
11/14 in ITHACA, NY
11/25 in WEST ORANGE, NJ
11/29 in BALTIMORE, MD
Some of these are in punk houses. One is in a house inside a graveyard. One is in a basement with a hot tub. All of them should be the perfect blend of uncomfortable and rad.
PSYCHED about the comedians who are coming along on these shows! I’m lucky to be all over the scene in NYC - the alt rooms and clubs and improv theaters and any room that will have me - and have grabbed a whole bunch of my favorite people from all corners of the comedy world. These are some of the best and most fascinating and funniest and riskiest performers going right now. Some of these guys are my good friends, some I barely know. I’m happy I get to travel outside of NYC with all of these comedy cool cats. The people coming this round are:
Will Miles, Brett Davis, Gary Richardson, Joe Pera, Emma Willmann, Griffin Newman, Greg Stone, Dan Licata, Charles Gould, Jo Firestone, Riley Soloner, and Colin Summers
SUPER excited to be a part of these shows. I started doing comedy in New Brunswick basements way back in like 2007 at Courtlandt-Land and places like that. Years later, I’m going back to perform at Cooler Ranch, which is the best house in NB, on 11/6 with some of my favorite people like Jo Firestone and comedy hero Chris Gethard.
I’ll also be at the Baltimore show on 11/29 where I will be able to alienate a bunch of people I’ve never had the opportunity to alienate before in some weird warehouse. Maybe others. Looking forward to it so much I’m gonna cry and ruin everything.
